Current stage 1 / 6
Install the desktop player
Obtain VLC from the official VideoLAN website for the playlist route described here. Use an official publisher or system store if choosing another compatible player.
Computer setup guide
Load your playlist in a trusted desktop player and check viewing on your computer before saving the setup.

Choose the right guide
This walkthrough covers Windows PCs and Mac computers. Its VLC route requires a supplied playlist address. If your message contains separate account fields instead, choose a player with the corresponding login screen.
Guided walkthrough
Move through the overview at your own pace, then use the detailed instructions below for your device.

Current stage 1 / 6
Obtain VLC from the official VideoLAN website for the playlist route described here. Use an official publisher or system store if choosing another compatible player.
Numbered setup
Obtain VLC from the official VideoLAN website for the playlist route described here. Use an official publisher or system store if choosing another compatible player.
In VLC on Windows, choose Media and then Open Network Stream. On Mac, choose File and then Open Network.
Paste the value supplied in your setup message into the network-address field. Check for missing characters and unintended spaces, then select Play or Open.
Leave the player running while it retrieves the list. If an entry begins playing immediately, open the playlist panel to inspect the available entries.
Use VLC's playlist panel to choose another entry. In a different player, use its list, search or category controls as supported.
Save the playlist or account only on a private computer where appropriate. Reopen the saved item to verify that it works before closing your setup message.
Playback checkpoint
Try these playback checks after loading your account. They help separate a setup issue from a single unavailable channel.
Confirm that the network-address dialog accepts the supplied playlist.
Check picture and sound on one entry, then compare a second.
Return to the playlist panel and select an item again; a different player's supported programme-guide feature can be checked separately.
Common problems
Choose the symptom closest to yours and make one change at a time. If you still need help, send Support the device model, player name and error text, keeping account details private.
Compare the full pasted address with the setup message and check that you opened the network-stream dialog. Do not replace missing text with a guess.
Confirm connectivity, try another entry and inspect any standard firewall notification for the trusted player. Report whether one entry or several are affected.
Pause large downloads or cloud transfers and close demanding applications. Compare another entry and test Ethernet where available before drawing conclusions about the cause.
Show the playlist or sidebar and use its search if available. If you need a programme-guide interface, ask about a compatible player that supports it for your supplied format.
Check the download source and read the system warning. Obtain a current official version and follow normal security guidance rather than bypassing a warning for an unknown installer.
Restart the app and computer, check for a publisher update and close memory-intensive applications. If it happens again, report the player version and where the import stops.
Device questions
Download it directly from VideoLAN, the official publisher. This avoids third-party repackaged installers.
Windows places it under Media as Open Network Stream. On Mac, look under File for Open Network. The supplied playlist address goes into that dialog.
